About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build the sales playbook as the first representative in the territory by testing, documenting, and shaping scalable sales methods
  • Own a defined geographic territory and create daily route plans maximizing face-to-face time with legal professionals
  • Spend at least four days per week in the field conducting visits, scheduling lunches, and building relationships
  • Develop relationships with paralegals and legal staff and progress conversations to managing partners and firm administrators
  • Sell Filevine's deposition stack, including court reporting, remote depositions, and AI-powered products such as Depo CoPilot
  • Drive initial customer enablement, training, and product adoption
  • Attend local and regional industry events and represent Filevine in the market
  • Conduct outbound calls, drop-bys, follow-ups, and account prospecting
  • Maintain CRM records in Salesforce and forecast targets and deals
  • Partner with Operations, Scheduling, and Client Success to deliver a seamless deposition experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5+ years of outside sales experience, ideally B2B and in a field/territory model
  • A builder's mindset — energized by white space, ambiguity, and figuring out what works before there's a manual
  • Proven track record of building a book of business from in-person relationships, not inbound leads
  • Ability to connect with paralegals, legal staff, managing partners, and firm administrators
  • Ability to learn a new industry quickly and translate insights to subject-matter experts
  • Comfort selling a premium product against cheaper alternatives
  • High activity and high agency; ability to build a personal pipeline and manage the workday independently
  • Comfort walking into a law firm cold, navigating gatekeepers, and earning a first conversation
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Residence in or near the assigned territory
  • Nice to have: experience selling into law firms or to attorneys, an existing local legal-community network, referral network, and familiarity with deposition workflows, litigation timelines, and legal-services purchasing
