About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and develop Filtronic’s business systems roadmap, aligned with business growth and operational priorities
  • Lead the implementation, optimisation and continuous improvement of core business systems
  • Work with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Programmes, Finance and Quality to understand processes, requirements, constraints and improvement opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into effective system and process solutions
  • Configure systems, workflows and reporting; perform testing and resolve issues
  • Lead system changes from requirements through design, UAT, implementation and successful adoption
  • Identify and remove unnecessary manual processes, duplication and system workarounds
  • Improve integration and information flow across the business systems landscape
  • Establish data governance, master-data ownership and system controls
  • Develop reporting, dashboards and management information
  • Establish system administration, access, permissions and change controls
  • Manage external system providers and implementation partners while retaining internal ownership and knowledge
  • Develop internal capability through training, documentation and super-user networks
  • Support evaluation, selection and implementation of future business systems and technologies
  • Ensure the systems landscape remains scalable and appropriate for future business needs
  • Report to the Chief Operating Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in a Business Systems, ERP, Applications or Systems Transformation role
  • Strong track record of implementing and improving ERP and wider enterprise systems
  • Strong practical ERP expertise, including configuration, workflows, reporting, testing, troubleshooting and implementation
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or technology environment
  • Strong understanding of operational processes including planning, supply chain, procurement, inventory, manufacturing and finance
  • Experience integrating ERP with other business and operational systems
  • Strong business analysis, process improvement and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading complex systems implementations and multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Strong understanding of data, reporting, master data and governance
  • Experience managing external consultants and system partners while retaining internal ownership and accountability
  • Ability to operate effectively from detailed system and process discussions through to engagement with the Leadership Team
  • Track record of successfully embedding systems and process change within an organisation
  • Applicants must be able to meet the requirements of the UK Government’s Security Clearance Vetting Procedure
  • NetSuite experience would be advantageous; experience of other leading ERP platforms within a manufacturing environment will also be highly relevant
  • Technical depth with strong commercial and operational understanding
  • Comfortable moving between strategic priorities and detailed delivery, personally investigating problems, understanding system configuration and data, working with users to develop solutions and seeing changes through to successful implementation
  • Proactive, delivery-focused and comfortable challenging existing processes
