About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and optimize gameplay AI systems for a new co-development project with Epic
Work with the design team to define AI requirements
Iterate on AI systems to create fun, engaging, and satisfying AI encounters
Collaborate with designers, artists, animators, and engineers to develop AI behaviors and encounters
Design and drive game AI systems and architecture
Develop game AI test cases and integrate them with the QA team
Collaborate with production and leadership to create and manage production tasks for AI features
Self-manage time and responsibilities
Participate in playtests and develop solutions for AI problems

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of game engineering experience
3+ years of experience working on game AI
Experience building AI features in Unreal Engine
Strong programming skills in C/C++
Experience shipping a title as an AI Engineer (nice to have)
Experience developing AI behaviors for FPS titles (nice to have)
