About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process Reverse mortgage loans
  • Act as liaison between clients and Loan Officers through the closing process
  • Help eligible applicants obtain loans in a timely and professional manner while adhering to company guidelines and federal and state regulations
  • Accurately input and update information in the Loan Origination System
  • Confirm rates and fees are accurate and compliant
  • Obtain income, employment, and asset verifications
  • Guide clients and Loan Officers through loan processing toward closing
  • Review underwriting conditions submitted by borrowers within 24–48 hours
  • Collect required closing documentation
  • Ensure Loan Origination System data corresponds to document data
  • Update and document fees for Initial Disclosures and Final Loan Documents
  • Document and disclose Changes of Circumstances within required timeframes
  • Prepare, sign off, and file prior-to-closing conditions and documents
  • Coordinate with sales, underwriting, funding, title companies, brokers, clients, and settlement agents
  • Maintain communication and escalate issues to Management
  • Review and update the loan pipeline, including critical dates, expirations, cancellations, and denials
  • Ensure loan packages comply with company and investor policies
  • Process and maintain a pipeline of 50 loans
  • Attend regular and ad hoc departmental meetings
  • Maintain current knowledge of company requirements and federal and state regulations
  • Meet customer service, productivity, conversion, and compliance standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Loan Processing
  • Prior experience working with automated Loan Origination Systems and in the mortgage industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and must be a team player
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
  • Analytical end-to-end thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints
