About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the month-end close process for FinanceWithin clients
Assemble monthly financial packets and present financial statements to clients
Oversee month-end closing and accounting activities
Circulate financial management reports, monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets accurately and on time
Project and update cash flow and communicate cash position to clients
Create financial packages, including margin recognition and reconciliation/recording of sales, deferrals, accruals, returns, discounts, and write-offs
Manage inventory, including physical-to-subledger-to-GL reconciliations, accruals, samples, adjustments, obsolescence, and purchase orders
Reconcile bank, credit card, PayPal, Stripe, and other payment accounts
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and manage amortization schedules
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
Manage AR aging reports and AP in Bill.com or related software
Manage client payroll
Support FinanceWithin management and consult with clients on accounting work
Maintain general ledger accountability and perform financial analysis, reporting, profitability analysis, and special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in full cycle accounting
2+ years of experience in a multi-client or consulting role
Advanced in QBO and Xero
Experience with e-commerce is a big plus (Shopify, PayPal, Bill.com, etc.)
Firm grasp of accounting principles
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Proactive and team-centric attitude
Are legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Located in the United States
Experience working with consumer product brands (DTC and retail distribution)
Experience owning month-end close for at least 12 consecutive months
Experience reconciling PayPal, Stripe, Shopify Payments, or Amazon payouts to the GL
