Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help shape and deliver the FCA’s Buyside market strategy
  • Support risk management and harm prevention initiatives across the UK
  • Turn data and intelligence into meaningful insight to identify emerging risks and opportunities
  • Build expertise in the asset management sector and wider market environment
  • Support effective supervision and contribute to FCA regulatory priorities
  • Collaborate across teams to identify, assess and escalate emerging risks
  • Create briefings, reports and presentations for informed decision-making and regulatory discussions
  • Promote innovative, data-led approaches to improve regulatory effectiveness and outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior experience in industry, consultancy or regulatory within the asset management or related sectors
  • Prior experience reviewing data from various sources, making evidence-supported judgements, and presenting key points and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Prior experience handling risk processes
  • Experience using R, SQL and Python to generate insights and support decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to deliver within agreed timelines
  • Good understanding of the wider wholesale market and the asset management operating environment
  • Solid organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • Highly developed writing skills for clear, concise and professional documentation and reports
