About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review draft prospectuses and circulars in small case teams
- Assess company eligibility for listing on the London market
- Respond to written queries on interpretation of the regime in novel and complex areas
- Act as a principal point of contact with advisory firms
- Prepare comments on documents provided by companies and advisers
- Manage transaction timetables
- Liaise with companies’ advisers
- Make challenging judgments in market-facing, time-critical and pressurised circumstances
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Gain practical exposure to primary markets regulation and major capital markets transactions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrable experience of the wider capital markets and/or the corporate transactions carried out by listed companies
- Proven experience of managing stakeholders
- Good attention to detail and strong analytical and verbal reasoning skills
- Excellent communications skills, including written English
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a large workload while maintaining focus and high standards
- Highly effective influencing skills, including delivering difficult messages
- Commitment to building effective relationships with external parties
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work and escalate issues
- Ability to digest large amounts of written information and identify relevant issues
- Wider experience of capital markets, including equity capital markets (ECM) and/or debt capital markets (DCM)
- Knowledge of closed and open-ended investment fund structures
- Knowledge of asset management or the broader European capital markets regulatory framework
- SC Clearance is required; candidates must hold or obtain Security Check (SC) level vetting
