About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure for highly available, low-latency API services across multiple regions
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for seamless deployments and efficient resource utilization
- Enable the engineering team to ship quickly and confidently through CI/CD
- Implement and maintain the ELK stack for logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Ensure system reliability and support rapid incident response
- Implement infrastructure security practices and access controls
- Support compliance requirements for financial services
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement scaling solutions
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment workflows, and operational tasks
- Own the infrastructure foundation as finperks scales to millions of transactions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
- Proven track record building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines or similar
- Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or similar logging and monitoring solutions
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
- Proficient in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation tasks
- Ability to debug complex distributed systems and find infrastructure solutions
- Strong English skills; German is a plus
- Experience in FinTech, SaaS platforms, or developer tools is a plus
- Knowledge of testing frameworks is a plus
- Understanding of web performance optimization techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud deployment is a plus
- Basic understanding of backend technologies and APIs is a plus
- Willingness to handle on-call duty and frequent deployments
