About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and respond to real-time trade report and data dissemination issues
- Coordinate FINRA internal teams and external parties during emergencies and events
- Analyze trade data and trading events and make recommendations to senior leadership to meet SEC requirements
- Provide extended-hours support for FINRA trading systems
- Monitor trade reporting integrity for regulatory compliance
- Facilitate compliance with Transparency Services Reg SCI requirements
- Conduct complex data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Design and implement data collection methods and tools
- Determine key performance indicators and develop methods to measure and track them
- Coach more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities
- Lead multi-level initiatives across the organization
- Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory areas, including LULD Plan, rule filings, market events, and congressional testimony preparation
- Remain current on industry trends, practices, and regulatory impacts
- Collaborate in-person and virtually to advance investor protection and market integrity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in finance, compliance, or a related field
- Knowledge of and experience with the regulation and operation of U.S. broker-dealers
- Familiarity with the broader landscape of financial regulation
- Experience with securities market structure issues, associated data, regulations and/or market surveillance business processes
- Advanced proficiency in financial services data analysis
- Expertise leveraging internal and third-party vendor data sources
- Proven track record developing sophisticated executive-level reporting
- Ability to translate complex metrics and data analytics into clear, actionable strategic intelligence
- Superior organization and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Outstanding attention to detail and customer service
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate autonomously in dynamic, unstructured environments
- Strategic problem-solving, risk-informed decision-making, and proactive program innovation
- Willingness to provide extended-hours support
- Ability to travel as necessary
