About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the product team, including line management, one-to-ones, performance reviews and development plans
  • Define success metrics for the product function and each role
  • Set standards for discovery, requirements, specification, acceptance criteria, documentation and handover to engineering and QA
  • Coach the team and raise technical and product knowledge
  • Own team structure, hiring and onboarding
  • Allocate people across products and initiatives and manage workload and coverage
  • Own intake and evaluation of new initiatives for the Product Roadmap Committee
  • Prepare analysis covering commercial opportunity, operational efficiency, customer need, technical health and capacity impact
  • Present options, evidence and trade-offs to the committee
  • Maintain the Leadership Roadmap as the single source of truth
  • Track agreed priorities and timelines, flagging slippage, risk and capacity pressure
  • Run discovery, roadmap planning, release planning and post-launch reviews with engineering and QA
  • Balance feature work with platform stability, release readiness, technical debt, security and compliance
  • Coordinate feature rollout and adoption with marketing, client services and engineering
  • Serve as the point of entry for product requests across the business
  • Represent product in leadership, client and prospect conversations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five or more years in product management
  • At least two years leading a product team
  • Ideally experience within SaaS, fintech, compliance or performance marketing
  • Track record of framing trade-offs across commercial, operational and technical demands for executive decision-making
  • Experience running a roadmap process reporting to a product committee, steering group or executive sponsor
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to size opportunity, cost and risk
  • Technical depth to discuss architecture, delivery risk and technical debt with engineering
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills across concurrent initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and requirements to business stakeholders
  • Experience coaching product managers and improving discovery, specification and delivery practices
  • Familiarity with compliance, privacy and regulatory considerations in fintech is an asset
