About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform daily processing activities for loan transactions in the Quality Assurance Department and Flood Desk
  • Review and index loan documentation
  • Maintain document-tracking information
  • Independently perform defined pre-closing reviews of designated commercial and agricultural loans
  • Identify documentation deficiencies and communicate required corrections to lending staff
  • Review completed loan packages and supporting collateral documentation for completeness and corporate existence
  • Ensure accurate collateral information input in the Loan Origination System (LOS)
  • Coordinate with Centralized Loan Processing, Collateral departments, and business lines to ensure accurate and perfected collateral documentation
  • Conduct pre-closing and post-closing reviews in LOS and Synergy
  • Track missing documentation and outstanding items supporting collateral perfection
  • Review banker discrepancy reports and maintain document-tracking records
  • Index and approve scanned loan documentation and verify document categorization
  • Review and approve consumer adverse loan documentation for regulatory compliance
  • Provide support to commercial and agricultural lending staff
  • Process reports for maintenance of the document-tracking system
  • Complete special projects and other duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Act in accordance with FBT policies, procedures, and employee handbook requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An associate’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Relevant experience in commercial or agricultural loan documentation and collateral documentation preferred
  • Experience reviewing loan-file documentation, identifying documentation deficiencies, and maintaining accurate electronic loan documentation
  • Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems, Synergy, or comparable loan-documentation and imaging systems preferred
  • Strong critical-thinking, communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills required
  • Adherence to bank compliance policies and procedures
