About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose vehicle faults
- Complete mechanical repairs and replace parts when needed
- Carry out scheduled servicing, routine inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Respond to on-road breakdowns and recoveries
- Road test vehicles where required
- Complete documentation accurately and in line with regulations and health and safety standards
- Maintain safe and reliable vehicle operation
Requirements
What you’ll need- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Experience working on HGV or PSV vehicles
- Valid UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for mechanics
- Right to work in the UK
- Background checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process
- Minimum 39 hours per week
- Availability to work 5 days over 7, including 1 weekend in 3
- Availability for rotating early and late shifts
