About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in the Commercial Bank Analyst Development Program
  • Complete an 8-week intensive curriculum covering underwriting fundamentals, financial analysis and Excel modeling, bank systems, business units, strategic priorities, and credit policies and procedures
  • Assist in credit underwriting and portfolio management of diverse debt solutions for middle-market companies
  • Perform financial modeling in Excel for solar, wind, gas, and battery storage projects
  • Conduct project due diligence, including company and industry analysis and review of engineering, market, insurance, and transmission studies
  • Prepare internal credit memoranda
  • Prepare marketing materials for potential clients and other lenders
  • Work as part of a Deal Team on live transactions
  • Participate in internal credit approval meetings and client/customer calls as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree/Equivalent and 2 years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree completed by July 7, 2027 (preferred)
  • Coursework or internship in commercial lending or credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and finance fundamentals
  • Major or concentration in a quantitative field including engineering, finance, accounting, or economics (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (preferred)
  • Preferred minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0
  • Previous internship experience in an analytical role within an energy-focused institution (preferred)
  • Strong interest in power and energy (preferred)
