About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the Commercial Bank Analyst Development Program
- Complete an 8-week intensive curriculum covering underwriting fundamentals, financial analysis and Excel modeling, bank core values, systems training, business unit overviews, strategic priorities, and credit policies and procedures
- Assist in credit underwriting and portfolio management of diverse debt solutions for middle-market companies
- Perform financial modeling in Excel for solar, wind, gas, and battery storage projects
- Conduct project due diligence, including company and industry analysis and review of engineering, market, insurance, and transmission studies
- Prepare internal credit memoranda
- Prepare marketing materials for potential clients and other lenders
- Work as part of a Deal Team on live transactions across credit underwriting, portfolio management, financial analysis, and credit memo preparation
- Participate in internal credit approval meetings and client/customer calls as appropriate
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree/Equivalent and 2 years' experience
- Bachelor's degree completed upon start of the program by July 7, 2027
- Coursework or internship in commercial lending or credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and finance fundamentals
- Major or concentration in a quantitative field including engineering, finance, accounting, or economics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0
- Previous internship experience in an analytical role within an energy-focused institution
