About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assess factors affecting business profitability, growth, and efficiency
Aid strategic initiatives addressing identified business issues
Evaluate current practices, collect information and industry trends, and create specifications supporting business initiatives
Develop and implement process improvements, modifications, and enhancements
Participate in special analytical projects and advanced technical reporting
Provide expert operational support by responding to inquiries and identifying issues
Handle escalated daily operational matters
Provide guidance to lower-level business analysts and lead workflow
Serve as an analytics resource to the wider organization and business units
Determine business needs through technical analysis and reporting
Develop strategies supporting company and department goals
Communicate strategies through specifications, project plans, and other documentation
Produce reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities
Identify patterns, problems, and areas for improvement
Source, compile, and interpret data
Perform advanced data analysis and communicate and direct analysis output

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or related field plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or related occupation; alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of these fields plus four (4) years of experience
At least three (3) years of banking experience
Experience with database management
Experience with Tableau or Power BI to visualize data trends and analyze data
Experience with SAS, R, and Python to perform enhanced data mining and analyze complex data
Experience with ETL and SAS or SQL from extraction to complex data transformations within a relational database environment
