About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop information security strategy, roadmaps, and technological direction with leadership
Lead change management, resource planning, and activities affecting the existing security framework
Establish an ongoing program for threat identification and security enhancement
Manage the development, enhancement, and monitoring of Information Security teams and technologies
Develop complex solutions and process improvements to resolve escalated information security issues
Ensure compliance with applicable requirements and service standards
Establish and monitor expectations to achieve company and department goals
Update team policies, procedures, and efficiencies to meet objectives
Manage performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff
Potentially oversee budgeting or vendor management
Act as a consultative security resource to technological programs and associates
Create information security standards and procedures
Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to develop security awareness and protect Bank assets
Build and lead Cloud Security and AI Security functions and the engineering team
Drive secure innovation and security outcomes across AWS, Azure, and emerging AI/ML platforms and use cases
Partner with engineering, data science, and platform teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 12 years' experience in Information security or technology
5+ years managing technical security teams
10+ years of Engineering experience
Deep hands-on experience securing AWS and Azure environments at enterprise scale
Hands-on experience implementing Cloud IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring, and logging
Experience with DevSecOps, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), Policy-as-Code, and Automation
Proven experience securing AI/ML workloads
Experience with cloud security tooling, posture management and controls development
Container security experience with EKS, ECS, Openshift, and AKS, including posture management and scanning
Knowledge and understanding of SaaS Platform Security and posture management
Knowledge and understanding of threat modeling, risk management, and secure architecture principles
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior technical and business leaders
Experience securing GenAI platforms, LLMs, or AI-enabled applications
Certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP are preferred
Experience in regulated environments such as financial services, healthcare, or technology at scale is preferred
Background in software engineering, platform engineering, or SRE is preferred
