About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and support CIAM and Fraud solutions and projects
Conduct research, design, technology insertion, development, testing, and support across software aspects
Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable solutions meeting functionality, performance, and availability requirements
Lead and support proactive maintenance of IaaS, SaaS, and on-premises applications
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including code defects, data integrity issues, and configuration-related problems
Provide technical guidance and estimate effort
Evaluate technology options and determine optimal technical solutions for business needs
Champion engineering best practices and development standards
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Advocate for developer experience through design, tooling, automation, and engineering practices
Develop clean, maintainable, documented, and secure software aligned with architectural standards and business objectives
Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and support a collaborative team environment
Oversee distributed development team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance
8+ years of experience in Software application development and maintenance preferred
Experience in banking or regulated financial services
Strong design and development experience with Java, JMS, JDBC, Web development, Transactions, WS-*, JVM, JSP, Servlets, EJB, JNDI, JMX, JTA, Spring, JUnit, Hibernate, and Python
Understanding of fraud prevention, risk-based authentication, and secure digital journeys
Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML
Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with Okta CIAM preferred
Experience supporting complex, business-critical applications in a production environment
Strong understanding of unit, integration, and system testing methodologies
Knowledge of peer code reviews, automated testing, security scanning, and CI/CD quality gates
Familiarity with RestAssured, Postman, and Swagger UI
Experience designing and implementing real-time and file-based integrations
Ability to optimize database processing and performance
Excellent communication skills with IT management, individual contributors, and business stakeholders
Ability to develop code and effectively oversee distributed development team members
