Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in managing systems and processes used to reconcile general ledger accounts across the bank
  • Assist with accounting automation initiatives to streamline data automation opportunities
  • Participate in research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, technology enhancements, and support
  • Attend professional development, informational, networking, and community service events
  • Complete an assigned project to improve a specific process or solve a problem
  • Present the assigned project at the close of the internship
  • Prepare and deliver a wrap-up presentation to the division leader and key company stakeholders
  • Work with a dedicated manager and program manager throughout the internship

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution during the summer program
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program
  • Rising junior or senior preferred
  • Specific focus of study in Business Systems or Accounting preferred
  • Excel, MS Access, SQL, technical business skills, system maintenance, GL reconciliation knowledge, and understanding of balance sheet/P&L preferred
  • 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
  • Strong desire to learn and grow preferred
  • Positive attitude, curiosity, and collaboration preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills preferred
  • Critical thinking skills preferred
  • Ability to multitask preferred
  • Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs preferred
  • Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly preferred
