About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support card product strategy through customer, market, competitive, and emerging-technology research
  • Explore B2B spend use cases including procurement, accounts payable, expense management, virtual cards, embedded payments, and business payment workflows
  • Analyze fintech and platform trends
  • Develop competitive landscapes across banks, card networks, fintechs, payment providers, and spend-management platforms
  • Evaluate product opportunities and translate customer problems and market insights into product concepts, hypotheses, requirements, and business cases
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Sales, Risk, Operations, Finance, and other teams
  • Use data to develop insights on product performance, customer behavior, addressable spend, and market opportunities
  • Contribute to product roadmaps and go-to-market strategy
  • Develop an end-of-summer recommendation or product proposal
  • Attend professional development, informational, networking, and community service events
  • Complete an assigned project and present it to leaders and stakeholders
  • Prepare a wrap-up presentation outlining accomplishments and internship experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution during the summer program
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program
  • Preferred: Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
  • Preferred: Experience or interest in product management, payments, fintech, banking, or B2B commerce
  • Preferred: Experience conducting market, customer, or competitive research
  • Preferred: Comfortable working with data, Excel, and/or visualization tools
  • Preferred: Exposure to APIs, SaaS platforms, or digital development
  • Preferred: 3.0 minimum GPA
