Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Sales Performance and Analytics Strategy team at First Citizens Bank
  • Perform advanced data analysis to identify factors affecting business profitability, growth, and efficiency
  • Assess current practices and collect information and industry trends
  • Create specifications to support business operations
  • Determine improvements or solutions to address identified issues
  • Prepare technical reports by examining and summarizing data
  • Support data and integration for the Sales Performance Management system
  • Source, compile, and interpret data
  • Analyze data for accuracy and efficiencies and communicate analysis output
  • Provide daily operational support by responding to inquiries and identifying issues
  • Assist with implementing recommended modifications and enhancements
  • Serve as an analytics resource to the wider organization or business units
  • Determine business needs through analysis and reporting
  • Suggest strategies to achieve company and department goals
  • Assist in creating specifications, project plans, and documentation
  • Produce reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities
  • Convey patterns, problems, and areas for improvement
  • Participate in research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, and technology enhancements and support
  • Complete an assigned project to improve a process or solve a problem and present it at the end of the internship
  • Prepare a wrap-up presentation for the division leader and key company stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution during the summer program
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program
  • Ability to work within a commutable driving distance of the Raleigh, NC office
  • Adaptability
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Preferred: Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, Finance and/or Data Science degree
  • Preferred: Rising Senior status
  • Preferred: 3.0 minimum GPA
  • Preferred: Strong desire to learn and grow
  • Preferred: Positive attitude, curiosity, and collaboration
  • Preferred: Ability to multitask
  • Preferred: Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs
