About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, develop, implement, and communicate key strategic initiatives
- Manage projects designed to align the Group with corporate objectives
- Contribute to and implement the Group’s Project Management Methodology
- Manage assigned strategic projects throughout execution and implementation
- Maintain project documentation, requirements, baselines, reports, and critical activity tracking
- Prepare and deliver presentations to Senior Management and Consultants
- Coordinate project stakeholders and respond to information requests
- Monitor team performance baselines and provide feedback and corrective-action suggestions
- Support and coach Project support staff
- Plan, coordinate, and execute training for end users, support staff, and project team members
- Maintain the project management configuration system and archive project information
- Manage project changes using the established change-management process
- Coordinate reviews of contracts and legally binding project documentation
- Contribute to project budgets and manage them to prevent deviations
- Support development of the Project Management Centre of Excellence
- Produce and manage detailed plans for special strategic projects
- Establish Key Success Indicators and manage scope, quality, time, and cost trade-offs
- Provide input to strategic planning and optimize the Group’s project portfolio
- Evaluate project performance against strategic-plan benchmarks
- Conduct local and international site visits to monitor progress, scope projects, and coordinate audits
- Complete special projects and other related activities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field from a reputable University and qualification as a Project Management Professional, with three (3) years progressive experience in Project Management, at least one (1) at Supervisory Level; OR Executive Diploma/Diploma and five (5) years progressive experience in Project Management, at least two (2) at Supervisory Level; OR GMDP Certificate and seven (7) years progressive experience in Project Management, at least three (3) at Supervisory Level
- Prior experience working on complex projects involving cross-functional and international project teams
- Ability to work on multiple complex projects concurrently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project software and the MS Office suite
- Ability to work independently and with virtual teams
