About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide personalized, one-on-one skilled nursing care to a pediatric patient in the patient's home
  • Support the child's health, safety, comfort, and overall well-being
  • Perform professional nursing care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act
  • Provide care according to medical practitioner orders and the client's care plan
  • Maintain client orders and document changes in the medical record
  • Provide personal care services, monitor and report findings, administer medications, teach clients, and perform emergency interventions
  • Provide specialized pediatric services including tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings
  • Collaborate with the client's care team and coordinate care
  • Promote a safe environment for clients and coworkers
  • Comply with Agency policies, procedures, payor requirements, and accreditation standards
  • Attend Agency meetings as requested
  • Report to the Clinical Supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of operation
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements
  • At least 1 year as a licensed nurse
  • Experience working with pediatrics
