About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support students’ success and instructor management within the ABA Online certificate and master’s programs
- Conduct synchronous online instructional meetings and facilitate student learning through engagement and discussion
- Provide substitute coverage for ABA Online instructors during unforeseen emergencies when other coverage is unavailable
- Assist Lead Instructors with course management
- Conduct reviews of proctoring software
- Support future mentoring and advising initiatives for student success
- Teach assigned ABA Online sections, up to 40 credit hours of instruction
- Conduct scheduled online meetings and ensure they start and end on time
- Prepare teaching materials, promote student engagement, respond to student messages, enter attendance, and monitor student progress
- Provide class coverage when substitute instructor availability and prior course training align
- Provide academic support to lead instructors and students, including answering questions, handling escalated issues, assisting with grading, and reviewing proctored assessment recordings
- Monitor and respond to student questions on course discussion boards
- Conduct open office hours and/or exam review sessions
- Supervise student mentoring by doctoral students or senior master’s students
- Support faculty with accreditation activities for the ABA Online program
- Collaborate with the Program Chair to improve student performance and satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Maintain certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D) in good standing
- University teaching experience
- Ph.D. degree in a related field
- Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment
- International degrees require a course-by-course official evaluation and translation from a NACES-affiliated evaluation company
- Flexible scheduling, including working evenings, nights, and weekends, may be required
- Work remotely and attend on-campus meetings up to 6 times per year
