About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead discipline-specific design and documentation on projects of moderate to high complexity
- Develop coordinated engineering solutions from schematic design through construction documents
- Direct and review work by Designers and Senior Designers
- Resolve technical, coordination, and code-related challenges
- Support QA/QC, value engineering, and firm standards initiatives
- Participate in RFIs, submittals, punch lists, field observations, and construction meetings
- Mentor junior staff and serve as a technical resource to project teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
- 8+ years of MEP consulting design experience
- EIT required
- PE preferred
- Strong BIM/CAD proficiency
- Advanced understanding of building systems, engineering principles, and applicable codes
- Strong communication, coordination, and technical problem-solving skills
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Ability to perform occasional field investigations and site visits as required
