About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer telephone calls from customers inquiring about clients’ goods and services
- Provide high-quality, helpful, and professional customer service
- Assist clients with seasonal holiday ordering, including fruit baskets and steaks
- Manage large amounts of inbound or outbound calls in a timely manner
- Address customer questions and concerns about products and services via phone, email, and/or chat
- Follow communication scripts for different topics
- Identify customer needs, clarify information, research, and provide solutions or alternatives
- Access company and client resources to accurately handle calls
- Upsell products when opportunities arise
- Switch between tasks efficiently and maintain composure
- Maintain punctuality and attendance during scheduled hours
- Remain positive and professional in customer interactions
- Cross-train as requested
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous 3–6 months of customer service or customer support experience preferred
- Previous 3–6 months of call center or office background experience a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Quick learner and able to work independently
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
- Must be 18 years of age
- Background check required in accordance with state and federal laws
- Must provide own equipment and workspace
- Verified, secure, reliable, dedicated high-speed internet service
- Established dedicated work area with desk, chair, electrical outlet, and direct LAN connection
- Intel Core i5-8250U Series processor or greater
- 8GB memory on Windows 10 or higher, 64-bit
- Screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher; one monitor required, dual monitors preferred
- USB headset
- Laptop or desktop required; Chromebooks, netbooks, and tablets are not accepted
- Up-to-date antivirus software installed and recent scan completed
- Firewall enabled
