About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer telephone calls from customers inquiring about goods and services from Five Star Call Centers' clients
  • Assist clients with inquiries about debit card incentives, orders, and balances
  • Manage large amounts of inbound calls in a timely manner
  • Follow communication scripts when handling different topics
  • Identify customer needs, clarify information, research, and provide solutions or alternatives
  • Access company and client resources to accurately handle calls
  • Upsell products when opportunities arise
  • Switch between tasks efficiently while maintaining composure
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance at scheduled times
  • Remain positive and professional in customer interactions
  • Cross-train as requested
  • Be available for shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday
  • Be available on the first and last business day of each month

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous 3–6 months customer service or customer support experience preferred
  • Previous 3–6 months call center or office background experience a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • Quick learner and able to work independently
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Background check required in accordance with applicable state and federal laws
  • Must provide own equipment and workspace
  • Verified secure, reliable, dedicated high-speed internet service
  • Established dedicated work area with desk, chair, electrical outlet, and direct LAN connection
  • Intel Core i5-8250U Series processor or greater
  • 8GB memory on Windows 10 or 11 64-bit
  • Screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher
  • Dual monitors required
  • USB DSP headset
  • Laptop or desktop required; no Chromebooks, netbooks, or tablets
  • Up-to-date antivirus software with a recent scan
  • Firewall enabled
  • Hardwired modem or router connection; no Wi-Fi or extenders
  • Must live in Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming
