About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Guided Setup for complex, strategically important enterprise accounts across data warehouse/repository configuration, SSO, RBAC/SCIM, and user access milestones
  • Serve as senior technical escalation point for PrivateLink, OAuth, SSO, networking, and identity issues
  • Work with customer technical stakeholders and administrators to assess environments, identify risks, and guide successful configurations
  • Anticipate blockers and create resolution plans
  • Make scoping decisions between Guided Setup, Customer Solutions Engineering, Product, and post-onboarding work
  • Ensure complex engagements meet customer experience, documentation, and technical quality standards
  • Mentor and coach Cloud Onboarding Architect I/II team members
  • Improve setup checklists, playbooks, kickoff materials, troubleshooting guidance, and internal documentation
  • Convert engagement patterns into repeatable processes, tooling, documentation, or product feedback
  • Drive recurring setup blockers toward documentation, process, enablement, or product resolutions
  • Represent setup in Engineering, Product, and Design discussions regarding bugs, feature requests, onboarding UX, PrivateLink, and network architecture
  • Collaborate with Customer Solutions Engineering and Training
  • Bring enterprise customer feedback into product usability, administration, security, and onboarding discussions
  • Use data and customer feedback to improve setup time and activation readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Deep, hands-on experience with dbt (2-3 years minimum) as an account admin and data practitioner
  • Prior experience as a Cloud Onboarding Architect, Implementation Consultant, or directly equivalent role
  • Administrator-level fluency with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift
  • Administrator-level fluency with GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
  • Administrator-level fluency with Okta, Entra ID, or Google identity providers, including SSO, SAML, and OAuth
  • Track record of mentoring or coaching less experienced teammates
  • Ability to own ambiguous, cross-functional problems and build playbooks
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to tailor white-glove setup experiences based on account size and strategic importance
  • Strong customer judgment, balancing technical correctness with timelines and business priorities
  • PrivateLink or secure connectivity experience is a bonus
  • Internal enablement or documentation experience is a bonus
  • Rocketlane or similar project/time-tracking tool familiarity is a bonus
  • dbt Architect certification is a bonus
