About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of detection and response engineers and analysts
Recruit, hire, and onboard security talent
Define team structure, roles, on-call rotations, and hiring plans
Own enterprise incident response, including investigation, containment, eradication, remediation, and post-incident review
Act as incident commander for major security events and coordinate with Legal, Privacy, Communications, and executive leadership
Build and maintain high-fidelity detections across cloud, identity, endpoint, SaaS, and application layers using threat-informed approaches such as MITRE ATT&CK
Drive AI adoption, including LLMs and AI agents, for alert triage, enrichment, investigation, and response
Build detections for threats targeting AI systems and enterprise AI usage
Design detection and response strategies for multi-tenant SaaS, including tenant isolation, cross-tenant access, and customer data protection
Lead customer-impacting incident response and coordinate customer notifications
Own the security operations technology stack, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, cloud detection and response, and log pipelines
Manage the security technology roadmap, budget, and vendor relationships
Lead proactive threat hunting and integrate threat intelligence
Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, IT, application security, and GRC teams to remediate risks
Develop and maintain automation, playbooks, integrations, and self-service security tools
Implement security controls, monitoring, and alerting; define and report MTTD and MTTR metrics
Support compliance requirements and apply current security operations, incident response, cloud security, and AI security knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep expertise in detecting, investigating, and responding to security incidents, with a track record of leading enterprise-wide incident response
Proven experience managing, hiring, and developing security teams
Extensive experience securing and responding to incidents in multi-tenant SaaS environments at scale
Hands-on experience applying AI, including LLMs and AI agents, to security operations
Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
Proficiency with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, identity, and cloud detection tools
Experience integrating security tools into automated workflows
Experience owning a security technology roadmap, including tool selection, budgets, and vendor management
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineering teams and communicating with executives and customers during incidents
Strong curiosity, sense of urgency, and hands-on approach
Must be based in the United States and work in the EST Time Zone
