About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate ambiguous, often verbal requests from senior stakeholders into a scoped analytical plan in real time
- Build and maintain complex models combining statistical and financial methods, including pipeline coverage, quota simulation, and forecast accuracy
- Deliver fast, directionally-correct analysis under time pressure, then refine it to full rigor when warranted
- Represent the team's analytical judgment in meetings with VP+ stakeholders without requiring the manager's involvement
- Reframe stakeholder questions when the request does not match the underlying business problem
- Review and unblock analytical work from Level 2 and Level 3 team members
- Triage incoming requests and route them appropriately across the team
- Own end-to-end delivery of strategic, cross-functional analyses, such as account matching strategy and end-of-quarter deal pattern analysis
- Apply statistical methods including regression, confidence intervals, and cohort analysis
- Collaborate with Finance analysts to keep GTM models consistent with Finance's revenue and forecasting definitions
- Shape dashboard requirements and propose logic for the central data team to build when dashboards are needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced, self-serve proficiency in SQL, dbt, and BI tools (Looker, Omni, Sigma)
- Ability to independently get, analyze, and visualize data with minimal support
- Strong understanding of SaaS sales motions, including opportunity stages, pipeline progression, and SFDC structure
- Working knowledge of financial and forecasting concepts, including ARR, quota attainment, pipeline coverage, and bookings
- Statistical knowledge, including regression analysis, distributions, and confidence intervals, applied to business problems
- Analytical judgment to reframe stakeholder questions around the underlying business problem
- Ability to quickly scope and prioritize ambiguous requests under time pressure
- Judgment on when to move fast versus prioritize rigor
- Experience reviewing or mentoring others' analytical work
- Comfort operating with significant autonomy in front of senior or executive stakeholders
- Bonus: Experience owning forecasting or planning methodology
- Bonus: Prior experience in FP&A or a quantitative finance role
- Bonus: Experience building simulation models
- Bonus: Some informal people leadership or team lead experience
