About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take responsibility for the company-wide data function and serve as the central point of contact for data-related questions
Analyze business requirements and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and Grafana
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive data models
Ensure reliable data integration between internal and external systems
Establish and continuously improve data quality and Data Governance standards
Identify data-driven opportunities for optimization and automation
Develop suitable data solutions for a range of business requirements in collaboration with specialist departments
Define technical requirements and work with the DevOps team to implement scalable and secure data platforms
Document data models, data sources, and integrations in a clear and structured manner

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed degree or vocational training in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a comparable qualification
Ideally, approximately 7 or more years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Solutions, or a comparable field
Experience working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
Ability to present complex data relationships clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong understanding of data quality, Data Governance, and continuous improvement
Knowledge of several of the following technologies and topics: SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Azure Data Platform, Elasticsearch, ETL processes and concepts, Data Warehousing, data modeling, data APIs, data formats, and data structures
Experience in the IT, telecommunications, or managed services industry is an advantage
