About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take full ownership of backend features and improvements from design through implementation, deployment, and production support
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django
Build and maintain integrations with KYC, geolocation, payment partners, and other third-party services
Work with product and engineering teams to scope and deliver new integrations
Implement observability across integration flows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability, prevent regressions, and improve test coverage
Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5+ years of development experience
Python as the primary language
Strong experience in API and system integrations
Proven experience integrating third-party APIs
Deep understanding of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling
Experience with observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations
Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency
Experience designing architectures for highly loaded and scalable solutions
Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and production monitoring
Payments and KYC integrations are a strong plus
Experience with early-stage startups and fast-paced engineering environments is nice to have
Experience writing automated tests, measuring test coverage, and defining test automation strategies is nice to have
Experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, or Grafana is nice to have
Experience in sports/betting industries is nice to have
