About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Produce a variety of inks and ink intermediates by following standard operating procedures
  • Perform tasks in the preparation, reaction, and storage of products
  • Operate mixers, pumps, filters, hoists, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment
  • Handle chemicals and chemical waste products, including potentially hazardous materials
  • Charge materials and process batches
  • Monitor and record process data
  • Load, unload, and clean equipment
  • Package finished product
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area
  • Assist other production areas as needed
  • Perform daily housekeeping of the work area and equipment
  • Complete cross-training in batch weighing, mill operation, forklift operation, and safety

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to perform strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work any shift
  • Must become thoroughly knowledgeable in the process of producing a quality batch
  • Ability to troubleshoot process issues
  • Working knowledge of all SOPs associated with the process
  • Must maintain an acceptable attendance record
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all safety requirements
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must have good basic math skills
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have satisfactory attendance
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move materials, typically up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
