About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead employment law support across the business
- Lead key data protection compliance processes
- Maintain privacy policy updates and ensure direct marketing practices, including SMS compliance, are lawful
- Maintain training and standards for People, Support, and other key teams
- Provide pragmatic, risk-aware legal guidance and shape internal processes
- Ensure data subject requests are handled with clear legal triage, governance, and defensible timelines
- Own Companies Act compliance for Irish entities alongside third-party company secretarial support
- Monitor relevant legal changes and proactively prepare the business
- Help manage the employee equity structure
- Transact partner contracts and triage novel customer queries
- Partner with People, Finance, Commercial, Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- ~5+ years PQE
- Qualified as a solicitor in Ireland
- Strong experience across employment law and practical risk management
- GDPR / data protection experience, including engaging with regulators and leading privacy assessments
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-lawyers and translate legal risk into actionable next steps
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion
- High ownership and initiative
- Willingness to challenge poor decisions and propose better ways of working
- Embraces technology to augment work and build efficient processes
- In-house experience in a tech / data-driven environment would help you stand out
- Experience with privacy policy governance, marketing compliance, and operational DSAR oversight would help you stand out
- Exposure to other EU regulatory areas would help you stand out
