About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, configure, and maintain MDM and device management solutions using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender
Manage and configure security settings in AWS and Cloudflare environments
Configure and maintain office networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
Manage, configure, and monitor SIEM and threat detection systems
Document security events, track incidents, and maintain security and compliance logs with the CISO
Implement security policies and infrastructure improvements defined by the CISO
Manage SSO and SaaS accounts for email, messaging, and other staff tools
Support the CISO in achieving SOC 2 certification
Set up, configure, deploy, recover, and wipe employee laptops
Provide primary in-office IT support for desks, monitors, peripherals, printers, and other office hardware
Configure and maintain conference-room A/V equipment
Report directly to the CISO in a role split approximately 70% Security Engineering and 30% Corporate IT

Requirements

What you’ll need

4–10 years of experience in IT Systems Administration, Network Operations, or IT Support with a strong, demonstrated interest in cybersecurity
Hands-on experience with MDM, identity/SSO providers, and common SaaS admin consoles
Solid understanding of network engineering, hardware configuration, and VPN management
Foundational experience or strong familiarity with managing cloud security configurations on any cloud platform
Exposure to or experience with SIEM and threat detection platforms
Comfort handling both cloud security work and physical IT tasks such as desk setup or printer troubleshooting
Excellent written skills for documenting security incidents, network diagrams, and IT procedures
Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Defender, and related tools is a bonus
Working knowledge of AWS and Cloudflare infrastructure security is a bonus
Experience supporting SOC 2 or similar security and compliance programs is a bonus
Experience in fintech, banking, or another regulated environment is a bonus
IT or security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Google IT Support, or ITIL are a bonus
Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar automation tools is a bonus
Prior startup or fast-growing company experience is a bonus
