About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Go out on company and self-generated leads to meet with homeowners
- Assess homeowners' flooring needs and wants
- Understand project goals
- Recommend and sell flooring solutions that fit customers' needs and budgets
- Provide consultative product selection and expert installation support
- Create an exceptional, high-touch customer experience
- Manage customer relationships throughout each flooring project
- Run appointments in the assigned territory, including Oakton, Vienna, Fairfax, Clifton, Burke, Woodbridge and beyond
- Work independently and collaboratively without micromanagement
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years' experience as a sales specialist for In-Home/Outside sales
- Knowledge of home improvements - flooring experience
- Proven experience building and managing a $1M+ book of business
- Competitive nature with a drive to succeed
- Ability to use competitive drive and determination to meet and exceed sales targets
- Comfortable with technology
- Highly developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Self-Motivated - ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Possess values of integrity and honesty
- Coachable
- Ability to speak publicly with confidence
- Schedule availability to run appointments on evenings and weekends
- Valid VA driver's license
- Willingness to pass a background check
- Willingness to work weekend shifts and/or marketing events on weekends
