About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Warehouse Operations Manager in overseeing warehouse operations in order picking and put-away areas
  • Ensure on-time shipment
  • Hold daily pre-work meetings and communicate information to team members
  • Coordinate with a team of 4 to 6 team members
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and coach team members on quality work performance
  • Ensure superior customer service
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Handle customer orders for accurate picking and shipment
  • Assist in physical inventories
  • Coordinate with warehouse departments to ensure efficient product flow
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and availability of warehouse supplies, RF units, batteries, and equipment
  • Evaluate warehouse associates on picking and put-away procedures and monitor progress
  • Lead and attend quality and improvement meetings
  • Teach, coach, and provide continuous improvement learning
  • Document attendance and participate in team member reviews
  • Coach, train, and mentor Distribution Center team members in productivity, quality, and safety
  • Handle and resolve conflict and process team member requests
  • Engage team members proactively and lead team-building activities
  • Update daily task status and manage reports, assessments, issues, equipment status, and process adjustments
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently according to prescribed work methods
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
  • Ensure warehouse flow and planning
  • Maintain facility equipment and materials and a clean, neat, orderly work area
  • Provide leadership and support training on safety programs, processes, and procedures
  • Follow established safety procedures and immediately report safety concerns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two to five years of recent work experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • OSHA and/or Class II, Class IV or Class V Forklift Certification preferred
  • Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
  • Ability to participate in safety training and acquire certifications
  • Ability to follow established safety procedures
