About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own sourcing strategy for capital equipment across the build program, including long-lead power and cooling equipment and modular structures
Build total cost of ownership models and defend them against supplier pushback
Run competitive sourcing events for capital packages
Evaluate suppliers on price, capacity, lead time, warranty, and financial health
Carry sourcing awards through contract signature
Negotiate and execute capital equipment agreements, framework agreements, and pricing amendments
Coordinate with Legal and Finance on payment milestones, warranties, liquidated damages, and escalation terms
Partner with Finance on CapEx planning
Track committed spend against budget and forecast cash flow from award to delivery
Deliver cost reductions through standardization, demand aggregation, and volume agreements
Build dual-source plans to reduce single-source risk on critical capital equipment
Qualify and dual-source critical equipment categories
Track supplier performance and act on data before schedule slips occur

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience sourcing and negotiating high-value capital equipment or construction packages
Experience building total cost of ownership models
Experience structuring capital contracts with milestone payments, warranties, liquidated damages, and escalation terms
Experience managing capital contracts through delivery
Experience partnering with Finance on CapEx budgets and cash flow forecasts
Demonstrated savings delivered against CapEx budgets
Experience running RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes end to end
Experience with supplier qualification through contract signature
Experience tracking supplier performance using quality, on-time delivery, and cost scorecards
Experience with ERP and procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent
CPSM or CPP certification is a bonus
Capital procurement experience in data center, energy, or industrial construction environments is a bonus
Authorization to work in the United States
Willingness to work in person at a Fluidstack office despite the remote listing
