About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own fire protection engineering for assigned sites, including design review, field support, and AHJ coordination
  • Review sprinkler, detection, and special hazard designs against code and the reference design
  • Support field installation and acceptance testing through AHJ sign-off
  • Answer fire protection RFIs quickly and route code questions to defensible answers
  • Execute technical delivery across drawings, field questions, and engineering decisions for concurrent gigawatt-scale data center sites
  • Contribute lessons from each build to the reference design

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fire protection engineering experience on commercial or industrial projects
  • Ability to review hydraulic calculations and detection layouts and catch errors
  • Experience running acceptance tests with the AHJ present
  • Ability to research code questions to primary sources
  • Bonus: FPE degree or PE track
  • Bonus: NICET certifications
  • Bonus: experience with special hazard systems
  • Bonus: data center experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate is assessed in the application
