About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead incidents as a senior incident commander in the on-call rotation
  • Serve as the escalation backstop when cases rise above on-call responders
  • Own the 24/7 coverage model, rotation discipline, and response SLAs for the US region
  • Build and develop a team of senior incident responders
  • Set on-call expectations and the quality bar for the team
  • Drive executive, legal, and customer communications during declared incidents
  • Manage regulated reporting and disclosure timelines
  • Own the joint operating relationship with Physical Security and Data Center Operations for cross-domain incidents
  • Run the post-incident review cadence
  • Drive remediation to completion across detection, response, and infrastructure
  • Define escalation behavior for the agentic triage layer
  • Feed incident learnings back to detection engineering and threat intelligence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience leading material incidents end to end as a senior incident commander at organizations with sophisticated, well-resourced threat actors
  • Experience managing and growing a team of senior responders while staying in the on-call rotation
  • Experience designing or running a 24/7 on-call program, including coverage models, rotation discipline, acknowledgement and response SLAs, and escalation chains
  • Ability to move between technical containment and executive, legal, or customer-facing communications during declared incidents
  • Experience making disclosure-grade calls under regulatory and customer reporting clocks
  • Experience building operating relationships across security, infrastructure, and physical or facilities teams
  • Experience leading incidents across cyber, physical, and OT or ICS boundaries
  • Well-founded opinions on humane on-call programs and effective incident response processes
  • Bonus: Experience at critical-infrastructure operators, data centers, or 24/7 high-availability environments
  • Bonus: Experience standing up or scaling an incident response team and on-call program from scratch
  • Bonus: Experience operating under FedRAMP, SEC, or similar regulated incident-reporting regimes
  • Bonus: Experience with agent-augmented incident response, including triage, investigation, or response automation
