About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the integrated plan for one or more electrical equipment product lines from requirements through design release
  • Hold the engineering team to design gates
  • Schedule and run concept, preliminary, and critical design reviews
  • Capture design review decisions and actions and close them before the next gate
  • Bring manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain into the design early
  • Ensure bills of materials, tolerances, and test procedures are ready at design release
  • Track long-lead components, sub-supplier qualification, and second sourcing against the design schedule
  • Escalate supply risks and schedule slips
  • Maintain controlled specifications, drawings, and change requests
  • Keep program status, risks, and spend visible to engineering leadership
  • Drive electrical equipment designs from concept to released, manufacturable products
  • Support products including medium-voltage switchgear, low-voltage switchboards and busway, prefabricated electrical skids, and e-houses

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of technical program management on electrical or electromechanical hardware designed and manufactured in house
  • Experience ideally with switchgear, switchboards, power distribution, or electrical enclosures
  • Taken at least one hardware product from concept through design release and first production lot
  • Experience running design review gates
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing and configuration management
  • Understanding of bills of materials, drawing packages, and test procedures for factory production
  • Ability to read electrical single-lines, equipment schedules, and mechanical drawings
  • Experience managing component suppliers and sub-supplier qualification to a design schedule
  • Ability to write clear, concise status updates for executives and engineers
  • Electrical engineering degree or PE license (bonus)
  • UL 891, UL 1558, or IEEE C37 product certification experience (bonus)
  • New product introduction experience in a low-volume, high-mix factory (bonus)
  • Authorization to work in the United States is addressed in the application form
