About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development of workforce plans for upcoming and potential productions
  • Prepare scenario modelling ahead of every greenlight
  • Identify internal capability and optimal allocation across productions
  • Partner with Production on scheduling and budget forecasts
  • Own workforce planning across Sydney, Los Angeles and Madrid
  • Provide senior leadership with insights and reporting on workforce capacity, risk and opportunity
  • Interpret employee, market insight, time-to-fill and historical hiring data
  • Maintain understanding of internal capability, skills and availability
  • Identify workforce trends and risks and escalate insights
  • Connect Recruitment, People and Culture, Production and IT on workforce matters
  • Lead and support cross-functional operational projects
  • Build, maintain and improve reporting tools, dashboards and models
  • Identify automation opportunities and improve system efficiency
  • Lead or support implementation of systems, tools and automations
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across workforce planning tools and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in workforce planning, resource management or production scheduling
  • Prior experience within animation, VFX or broader film and television production preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting and insights generation
  • Experience leading or contributing to system implementations, data migrations and automation projects
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into meaningful, actionable insight
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including complex formulas and models
  • Experience with automation tools, system implementation or process improvement initiatives
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives across departments
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
