About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Accounting teams to understand end-to-end processes, pain points, data flows, controls, and opportunities for simplification or automation
  • Design, build, test, document, deploy, and support automation solutions using programming languages, workflow tools, data platforms, and Microsoft Power Platform capabilities
  • Apply responsible artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to Accounting use cases, including data classification, anomaly identification, document processing, research, reconciliation support, and workflow or reporting insights
  • Help accelerate the accounting close by reducing manual work and improving process visibility
  • Develop data pipelines, queries, dashboards, reports, and analytical tools
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, process maps, solution designs, test plans, and support documentation
  • Perform testing, troubleshoot defects, monitor production solutions, and collaborate with Accounting, IT, cybersecurity, and vendors
  • Build automation with access, change-management, validation, audit-trail, data-quality, and information-security controls
  • Support Accounting transformation workstreams focused on process standardization, technology enablement, close acceleration, data improvement, and continuous improvement
  • Create reusable components, technical standards, training materials, and knowledge repositories for global Accounting teams
  • Communicate progress, risks, results, and recommendations, and measure delivered value

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Foundational programming ability in one or more languages, such as Python, SQL, Java, C#, or JavaScript
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals, including requirements, source control, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment, and ongoing support
  • Experience with structured data, databases, APIs, data transformation, or analytical tools through coursework, projects, internships, research, or co-op experience
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and tools, including generative AI, prompt design, model limitations, data privacy, validation, and responsible use
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
