About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and integration of Functional Safety work products on vehicle program applications for ADAS features such as BlueCruise and Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist
  • Develop and maintain Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA), Functional Safety Concepts (FSC), and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC)
  • Produce safety analysis including DFMEA, FTA, and DFA per ISO 26262
  • Support planning of Safety Verification & Validation activities at different levels of system abstraction
  • Support creation, execution, and evaluation of test cases (DVP)
  • Contribute to safety audits and assessments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, hardware, software, and V&V stakeholders to deliver a safe product with a comprehensive safety case

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 5 years of experience in Functional Safety
  • 5 years of experience products in mass production
  • 2 years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Verification of employment eligibility required at hire
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • Preferred: 10 years of experience in Functional Safety
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience with automotive product development
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with SysML / MagicDraw
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with development of automotive sensors (e.g., cameras, radars) and ECUs
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience developing and conducting laboratory and vehicle tests, gathering and analyzing data
