About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design efficient conveyance systems and layouts in AutoCAD
  • Perform detailed feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses of proposed designs and process changes
  • Assess technical viability, cost-effectiveness, and potential risks
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, product engineering, plant teams, and suppliers
  • Define technical specifications and integrate conveyor systems into the final assembly line
  • Optimize conveyor layouts and processes to improve throughput, ergonomics, and operational costs
  • Ensure designs and implementations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal specifications
  • Provide technical expertise from concept generation through installation and prove-out
  • Add costs into GMOD for forward model conveyance and facilities programs
  • Ensure tier 1 suppliers comply with GVOSS for conveyance and tooling designs
  • Lead onsite field reviews and plant alignment meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Manufacturing
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Teamcenter proficiency
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Automotive experience, final assembly preferred
  • Conveyance systems or tooling experience preferred
