About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure 100% BOM accuracy for global product vehicle lines, Powertrain, Frame, and Battery assembly managed centrally by the COE team.
  • Collaborate with Plant MP&L, PD, NMP, PVT, VOME, and other cross-functional teams to close Bill of Material discrepancies.
  • Perform PPM launch-related activities with NMP and Program teams to ensure timely system setups and supplier release triggers.
  • Conduct change-impact analyses for new PDLs, CRFs, and TIBs and drive supportable MP&L/PPM timings.
  • Represent PPM in PST, Regional BOM and Order, and Director’s review meetings; highlight open issues and discuss containment plans.
  • Resolve BOM queries and discrepancies and ensure accurate supplier release data.
  • Support engineering change implementation for TVM, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement product actions.
  • Use EMPRESS to define parts based on PDL and verify part-to-part usage and quantity per vehicle for production, bundle changes, added-starter, and major launches.
  • Ensure supplier release accuracy through BOM audits and coordinate interim and permanent fixes with plant teams.
  • Prepare and maintain commodity audits and conduct part-list audits for BOM structures.
  • Support physical BOM validation at manufacturing plants for new models, major launches, bundle programs, and added-starter programs.
  • Support best-process identification, collaboration, and training development for the PPM organization.
  • Collaborate with plant MP&L and Industrial Engineering to develop the Teledata handbook for Broadcast chart coding.
  • Ensure accurate Broadcast Bill of Material coding in the mainframe system against launch milestones and engineering changes.
  • Improve processes through smart ideas, automated workflows, and dashboards.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education Qualification: Graduate from Engineering Discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience with engineering change and BOM management.
  • Professional exposure to engineering change management, Bill of Material Management, Production Development, Design & Research.
  • Willingness to work flexible shift timings based on the plant and D&R regions handled, especially North America, Mexico, and India time zones.
