About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and release multiple exterior products on Ford Racing vehicles
  • Manage cross-functional internal and external relationships to support successful product launches
  • Lead the design, release, and delivery of components and systems across multiple exterior commodities for an upcoming new model program
  • Manage Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT) to support program and engineering GPDS milestones
  • Lead Full Service Suppliers and/or other internal/external resources
  • Manage design and color/material studio interfaces to meet customer expectations
  • Ensure conformance to Ford Racing DNA and applicable Ford and regulatory requirements
  • Develop innovative solutions for high-performance vehicles and enthusiast customers
  • Support issue resolution and design change management during prototype and launch builds
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with the Core Body Engineering Organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering required
  • 3-5+ Years of experience in Body Castings Design & Release
  • Body structures or closures D&R experience may also be considered
  • 2+ Year of experience using CAD or other visualization tools
  • Understanding of program delivery processes / GPDS
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
