About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead engineering, delivery, lifecycle management, and operational support across Azure and GCP environments for Ford Energy platforms
- Oversee the technical foundation, stability, disaster recovery, and high-performance hosting of SAP S/4HANA workloads
- Drive cloud optimization, workload migrations, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and continuous improvement
- Implement FinOps practices to monitor cloud consumption, optimize spending, and enforce resource governance
- Own availability, capacity planning, backup/recovery, business continuity, and major incident resolution
- Guide managed service providers and cloud platform account teams to ensure SLAs and accountability
- Partner with Information Security and governance teams on security baselines, access controls, and audit readiness
- Lead 24/7 production operations and reliability for mission-critical cloud environments
- Establish ITIL-based incident, problem, change-management, and root-cause-analysis frameworks
- Oversee monitoring, logging, observability, and performance tooling including Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog
- Drive automated patching, vulnerability remediation, and hardware/software lifecycle tracking
- Manage blended operations across internal teams, MSPs, and global vendor support lines
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, and operations
- At least 3+ years in a dedicated cloud leadership or management capacity within enterprise environments
- Deep hands-on experience and architecture knowledge in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) enterprise environments
- Certifications preferred
- Proven experience managing infrastructure, database sizing, high availability, and disaster recovery for SAP S/4HANA or complex enterprise ERP systems hosted in the cloud
- Strong background in compute, virtualization, Linux/Windows operating systems, enterprise storage, networking, backup/recovery, and infrastructure automation
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Demonstrated experience managing cloud vendor relationships, managed service providers (MSPs), and cloud budgeting/FinOps
- Familiarity with automotive, energy, manufacturing, or supply chain technology landscapes is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Visa sponsorship is not available
