About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and deploy Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods globally at Ford within the Global MBD/MBSE Core Department
- Develop and deploy MBSE tools and methods for Virtual Vehicle Verification
- Develop training materials for the user community
- Develop and evaluate MBD/MBSE processes, methods, and tools
- Deploy processes and tools globally to the MBD/MBSE modeling and simulation community
- Develop and maintain documentation and videos for MBSE tools and methods
- Support the Core MBSE team by developing and improving core MBSE methods and processes
- Evaluate and develop new MBSE tools from various vendors
- Provide training and support to the MBSE community
- Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, MBSE scripting tools, GUI programming, Git, GitHub, TortoiseGit, CarMaker, Jenkins, C/C#, and REST API
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- 3 years of MATLAB/Simulink scripting experience to automate creation of modeling artifacts in Simulink
- 3 years of experience developing and deploying MBSE tools and methods to simulate large automotive vehicle/system models
- 3 years of user interface development using MATLAB App Designer and Python
- 1 year of experience creating MBD/MBSE models for requirements validation and code generation
- 1 year of experience creating CarMaker vehicle/plant models, integrating with Simulink, and creating test scenarios
- 1 year of experience using Jenkins or GitHub Actions to set up automated CI/CD pipelines
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the Dearborn worksite
