About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the V8 Coyote/Predator Powerpack Forward Model programs within ICE Powertrain & Thermal Systems Engineering
  • Design and release new and existing engine components and sub-systems
  • Create and own 3D models and 2D drawings for assigned components
  • Lead sub-system Component Program Module Team activities
  • Lead WERS alerts, concerns, and notice processing
  • Resolve major design, manufacturing, program, and launch issues
  • Manage Tier 1 suppliers
  • Collaborate with CAE resources on structural, thermal, and CFD analysis
  • Create, complete, and approve DVPs and oversee validation testing
  • Develop and maintain CPMT and quality documents, including DFMEA, APQP/PPAP, and related program documentation
  • Support program meetings, design reviews, and change control
  • Work with suppliers, Supplier Technical Assistance, and launch teams to resolve quality issues
  • Interface with engine dynamometer testing and cross-functional teams
  • Support prototype engine build activities, including BOM, inspection, and prototype fit reviews
  • Support domestic and international travel when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership ability
  • Ability to support domestic and international travel as required
  • Black Belt Certification preferred
  • 2+ years Design and Release Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in CAD (CATIA, NX, CREO, or similar)
  • Technical expertise with Gasoline Internal Combustion Engines (ICE)
  • Experience with base engine dynamometer testing
  • Experience with CAE Simulation Methodologies (1D, 3D, FEA, CFD)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
