About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work cross functionally with designers, engineers and fabricators to develop functional electronic and mechatronics prototypes
  • Design and develop prototype electronic circuits, systems, and components
  • Execute wiring, testing and debugging of electrical systems and subsystems, including EMI/EMF mitigation
  • Integrate prototype systems into production hardware and software
  • Design and develop custom PCBs to support in-vehicle technologies and support product sourcing as required
  • Understand and support project timelines to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop operating procedures and training material for seamless handoffs of prototype assets
  • Support demonstrations of prototype systems, including senior leadership reviews and research and media events
  • Stay updated with advancements in electronics technology and integrate appropriate innovations into projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical system design, integration, testing and debugging, leveraging hardware and software as appropriate
  • 3+ years of experience with PCB design (Altium or equivalent) and/or integration and testing
  • 3+ years of experience working with automotive electrical systems such as display, audio, lighting, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded systems
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as Rhino, Alias and Catia
  • Familiarity with coding languages such as Node JS and C++ or equivalent
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is listed as an additional qualification
